A Novel Dysferlin‐Binding Kinase CK2α Promotes Plasma Membrane Repair in Dysferlinopathy
When the cell membrane is injured, extracellular calcium enters the cell, triggering the accumulation of dysferlin at the lesion site. In the presence of dysferlin, CK2 is efficiently recruited to the damaged membrane and maintains its kinase activity through interaction with dysferlin.

Abstract BACKGROUND The functionality of food can be improved by supplementing it with bioactive substances. However, the interactions between these substances and food components can compromise their functional efficacy. This study investigated the potential to reduce functional losses by encapsulating citrus essential oil (CEO) in zein particles (ZPs)

A recombinant spider silk protein was functionalized by incorporating genetically encoded bio‐orthogonal reactive azido‐groups. The azido‐functionalized proteins were produced in a scalable biotechnological process, and particles, films, as well as nanofibers were established as anchorage for fully functional antibodies via site‐specific bio‐orthogonal
