Tannin Phytocomplex Improves IBS‐D Symptoms and Gut‐Brain Markers: Prospective Pilot Study

In adults with IBS‐D, a 60‐day tannin‐based supplementation was associated with improvements in gastrointestinal scores, stool patterns, and psychological measures. Mechanistic readouts showed lower zonulin, SCFA shifts toward butyrate, and normalization of hydrogen breath tests, supporting a broad, barrier, and microbiota‐oriented intervention profile.
