Depuis 2002, l’algue invasive Caulerpa racemosa var. cylindracea a été signalée au niveau de la Corse. Elle apparaît pour la première fois, en 2008, au niveau de la baie de Calvi (Corse). Depuis cette époque, le nombre et la surface des sites envahis augmentent.
