Exploring the Ligand Efficacy of Cannabinoid Receptor 1 (CB1) using Molecular Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) is a promising therapeutic target for a variety of disorders. Distinct efficacy profiles showed different therapeutic effects on CB1 dependent on three classes of ligands: agonists, antagonists, and inverse agonists.

Circuit‐Selective FAAH Inhibition Suppresses Experimental Absence Seizures

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 4, April 2026.
Selective inhibition of FAAH with PF‐04457845 enhances endogenous AEA signaling and suppresses absence seizures in Genetic Absence Epilepsy Rats from Strasbourg (GAERS). Video‐EEG recordings demonstrate a marked reduction in SWDs following both acute and subchronic FAAH inhibitions.

Fatty acid metabolism—an emerging regulatory node in T‐cell immunometabolism

open access: yesClinical &Translational Immunology, Volume 15, Issue 4, 2026.
Abstract While the roles of glucose metabolism and tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle intermediates in immune regulation are well established, the contribution of fatty acid metabolism remains less well defined. In this review, we examine current knowledge on the immunomodulatory functions of fatty acid metabolism, with a particular focus on T‐cell biology.

Successful Colonic Stenting Across the Ileocecal Valve With Severe Malignant Stenosis Using Ultra‐thin Scope and Single‐balloon Overtube

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Self‐expanding metallic stents (SEMSs) are an established palliative option for malignant colonic obstruction, including in cases with proximal lesions. However, SEMS placement across the ileocecal valve (ICV) can be technically challenging because of the anatomical curvature and luminal stenosis. Herein, we report a successful case of colonic

A Novel Technique of Overtube‐assisted Ultrathin Endoscopic Biliary Drainage Using Multi‐Hole Self‐Expandable Metal Stents: A Case Report

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is the standard procedure for biliary drainage; however, access can be challenging in patients with altered anatomy or tumor‐related distortion. Endoscopic ultrasound‐guided biliary drainage (EUS‐BD) is a common alternative, yet it is not always feasible, particularly in patients with prior

Saffron Alters Microbial Amino Acid Metabolism and Neurotransmitter Production in a Defined Gut Consortium

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Graphical representation of the metabolic pathways modulated by saffron within defined microbial communities. In the tryptophan pathway, saffron decreased levels of tryptophan and anthranilic acid while increasing concentrations of indole‐3‐acetic acid and tryptamine.

Correspondence between morphological similarity of the left lateral orbitofrontal cortex and neurotransmitter systems in adolescent males with autism

open access: yesGeneral Psychiatry, Volume 39, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition marked by pronounced heterogeneity in brain structure, which limits the development of targeted interventions. Morphological brain networks (MBNs) enable the mapping of coordinated structural features across brain regions at the individual level.

Holocene sea‐level and environmental changes on the Isle of Mull, Scotland

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, Volume 41, Issue 3, Page 400-418, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Sea‐level and coastal changes are reconstructed on the Isle of Mull, western Scotland, from 10 988 to 10 507 cal BP to the present. This research has produced the first SLIP for the Isle of Mull. A multiproxy approach including pollen, spore, foraminifera and diatom analyses reveals palaeoenvironmental changes from two coastal sites.
