Endoglin (CD105): A Target for Anti-angiogenetic Cancer Therapy

Current Drug Targets, 2003
Targeting of tumor vasculature is a promising strategy for cancer treatment. Among endothelial cell markers, Endoglin, a cell membrane glycoprotein, is emerging as an attractive therapeutic target on angiogenetic blood vessels, and it currently represents a powerful marker to quantify tumor angiogenesis.

The prognostic value of endoglin (CD105) expression in ovarian carcinoma

International Journal of Gynecological Cancer, 2006
Intratumoral angiogenesis has become an important issue after the identification of antiangiogenic therapeutics. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of CD105 in patients with ovarian cancer and also to compare with CD31. Fifty-eight patients were included to this study.

Endoglin (CD105) expression in human renal cell carcinoma

BJU International, 2006
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the prognostic potential of endoglin (CD105) expression in human renal cell carcinoma (RCC), as endoglin is a cell membrane glycoprotein expressed in tumour‐associated vascular endothelium and a marker of angiogenesis; intratumoral microvessel density assessed by endoglin staining has ...

Abstract B237: CD105: A therapeutic target for sarcomas.

Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, 2013
Abstract Purpose: Endoglin/CD105 is a homodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed on the proliferating endothelium of solid tumors. TRC105, the chimeric IgG1 antibody with high affinity binding for human CD105, has recently undergone human testing.

Tumor Angiogenesis in Cancers: Expression of CD105 Marker

2009
Angiogenesis is an important step in the process of cancer growth and wound healing (Folkman 1971). Cancer is always accompanied by angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is a complex of endothelial cell growth through an interaction of growth factors and their ligands and of sustaining matrices.
