CD105 expression is downregulated on confluent mASCs. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Total mASCs were plated at a low density (5000 cells/cm2) and grown to confluence during 7 days. Cells were harvested on day 1, 3, 4 and 7 and (A) CD105 expression was analyzed by flow cytometry and confluence was assessed using the ImageJ software and ...

Prognostic Significance of Microvessel Density Determining by Endoglin in Stage II Rectal Carcinoma: A Retrospective Analysis

open access: yesGastroenterology Research and Practice, 2015
Background. The role of endoglin in the Dukes B rectal cancer is still unexplored. The aim of this study was to examine the expression of endoglin (CD105) in resected rectal cancer and to evaluate the relationship between microvessels density (MVD ...

Light‐Switched Mesenchymal Stem Cells for In Situ Exosome Amplification in Craniofacial Bone Defect Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light‐switchable MSCs (MSC‐UCNPs) were constructed by intracellular incorporation of UCNPs. Upon 980 nm irradiation, UCNPs emitted localized ultraviolet light (365 nm), activating the ROS/HEXB/LAMP1 signaling pathway to suppress lysosome–multivesicular body fusion and thereby enhance exosome biogenesis. Embedded within an injectable hydrogel, MSC‐UCNPs

Cancer Stem Cell Marker Endoglin (CD105) Induces Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) but Not Metastasis in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesStem Cells International, 2019
Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is the most common histological subtype of kidney cancer. We previously reported that CD105(+) subpopulation in human ccRCC tumors possesses tumor cell self-renewal and chemoresistance capability. In this study, we

High‐Performance Prevascularized SHED‐Laden rGO@Hydrogel Achieves Optimized Diabetic Bone Defect Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐performance 3D scaffold integrating rGO and SHEDs is developed to overcome impaired healing in diabetic bone defects. By driving extracellular matrix remodeling, rGO creates a pro‐angiogenic niche that significantly accelerates in vitro vascular network formation.

Particular distribution and expression pattern of endoglin (CD105) in the liver of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2007
Background Endoglin (CD105) has been considered a prognostic marker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and widely used as an appropriate targeting for antiangenesis therapy in some cancers.

Isolation of adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells by using anti-CD105 VHH-magnetic beads

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Biotechnology, 2023
Background: Human adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ASCs) are widely used in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. Magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS) with monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that bind surface markers of stem cells such as CD105 ...

Mastication‐Induced Electrical Stimulation Activates Prg4+ Chondroprogenitors for Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a ″trash‐to‐treasure″ strategy that converts harmful joint overloads into beneficial electrical cues. The biodegradable MagPie, by providing piezoelectrical stimulation and releasing Mg2+ during mastication, exerts synergistic pro‐regenerative and anti‐inflammatory effects on Prg4+ cells via the ECM‐mediated FAK‐PI3K‐Akt axis ...

A Wireless 3D Magneto‐Mechanical Stimulation Platform Drives In Situ Chondrogenic Commitment of Endogenous MSCs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An intracellular magneto‐mechanical platform utilizing MSC‐targeted nanomotors is developed. After intra‐articular delivery, these nanomotors target endogenous BMSCs and are actuated within lysosomes to execute trans‐planar rotational‐bouncing motions under a rotating‐fluctuating 3D magnetic field, generating amplified mechanical stimulation.

Endoglin expression level discriminates long-term hematopoietic from short-term clonogenic progenitor cells in the aorta

open access: yesHaematologica, 2012
CD105 is an auxiliary receptor for the transforming growth factor beta superfamily, highly expressed on proliferating endothelial cells and adult hematopoietic stem cells.
