Lab‐in‐a‐Tube System Integrating Hierarchically Wrinkled Electrodes and DNAzyme‐Functionalized Beads for Diagnosis of Clostridioides difficile Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The point‐of‐care diagnosis of Clostridioides difficile infection remains challenging due to reliance on slow culture and amplification‐based methods. A lab‐in‐a‐tube electrochemical biosensor integrating DNAzymes, antifouling magnetic beads, and a hierarchically structured flow cell enables amplification‐ and culture‐free detection directly in stool ...

Evaluation of the clinical significance of lymphocyte subsets and myeloid suppressor cells in patients with renal carcinoma

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
Purpose The purpose of this study was to analyze the expression patterns of immune cells in renal cancer patients, including myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), regulatory T cells (Tregs), CD3 + /CD4 + T cells, CD3 + / CD8 + T cells, and CD3- CD16 +

Comparison of Phenotypic and Functional Characteristics Between Canine Non-B, Non-T Natural Killer Lymphocytes and CD3+CD5dimCD21− Cytotoxic Large Granular Lymphocytes

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
Natural killer (NK) cells play a pivotal role in the immune response against infections and malignant transformation, and adopted transfer of NK cells is thought to be a promising therapeutic approach for cancer patients.

Photoacoustic Nanotagging for In Vivo Tracking and Optimization of Macrophage Immunotherapy in Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Macrophage‐based immunotherapy for solid tumors is limited by poor tracking of cell localization and persistence. This study introduces nanotagged macrophages enabling near‐infrared photoacoustic imaging for real‐time monitoring. IFNγ‐conjugated tags enhance antitumor polarization without harming viability.

Structural model of the Extracellular Assembly of the TCR-CD3 Complex

open access: yesCell Reports, 2016
Summary Antigen recognition of peptide-major histocompatibility complexes (pMHCs) by T-cells, a key step in initiating adaptive immune responses, is performed by the T-cell receptor (TCR) bound to CD3 heterodimers.

Dual Role of Tamoxifen in Enhancing STING and CEACAM1 Expression to Prime a Favorable Tumor Microenvironment for Anti‐TIM3 Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade has revolutionized cancer immunotherapy, but is ineffective against endocrine‐treated (i.e., Tamoxifen), relapsed ER+ breast cancer (BC) patients. This study provides insight into the sub‐optimal response of ER+BCs to anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade – highlighting the induction of STING and the CEACAM1/TIM3 axis after chronic ...

Generation of CD3+ thymocytes.

open access: yes, 2013
(A) CD7hiCD3hi and CD7 dim CD3⁻ cells were detected at day 7. (B) By day 12 approximately 90% of all the cells generated were CD3+ thymocytes. (C) A matrix seeded with approximately 300 CD34+ cord blood derived progenitors generated about 2900 CD3+ cells

Coixenolide Enhances Antitumor Immunity of Cytotoxic CD8+ T Cells by Inhibiting S100A8/A9‐CD36 Axis in Obesity‐Associated Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) remains highly lethal with limited treatment options. This study demonstrates that coixenolide, a bioactive compound from Coix lacryma‐jobi L. and a key component of the clinically approved Kanglaite injection, exhibits enhanced antitumor efficacy in high‐fat diet (HFD)‐induced obese mice bearing PAAD tumors compared to
