Phenotype of Peripheral Blood Leukocytes and Survival of Patients with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesThe International Journal of Biological Markers, 2005
Immune dysfunction is prevalent in metastatic cancer. Few patients with colorectal cancer metastases are cured, and among the strategies aimed at improving the therapeutic results in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, immunotherapy is being ...

Expression and function of a variant T cell receptor complex lacking CD3-gamma.

open access: yes, 1991
A T cell line termed DIL2 has been derived from an infant with a polyclonal T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 cell surface expression defect. Indirect immunofluorescence showed that the expression of certain TCR/CD3 epitopes (like those detected by WT31 and ...

Lignin Mimicking Protein Methylation Augments the Efficacy of FOLFOX Chemotherapy by Anchoring Thymidylate Synthase

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lignin‐mimicking protein methylation can enhance the efficacy and mitigate the toxicity of the classic FOLFOX chemotherapy regimen. ABSTRACT FOLFOX has served as the standard chemotherapy regimen for advanced stages, specifically in the treatment of pancreatic, colorectal, and bladder cancers.

Immunoscore encompassing CD3+ and CD8+ T cell densities in distant metastasis is a robust prognostic marker for advanced colorectal cancer

open access: yesOncoTarget, 2016
Background The immunoscore (IS), an index based on the density of CD3+ and CD8+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in the tumor center (CT) and invasive margin (IM), has gained considerable attention as a prognostic marker.

Intra-tumoral lymphocyte scoring in colorectal cancer: improving prognostic utility and correlation with underlying cancer biology

open access: yesFrontiers in Gastroenterology
BackgroundIntra-tumoral lymphocytes hold prognostic and predictive significance in colorectal cancer (CRC). The internationally validated Immunoscore™ predicts CRC survival risk by averaging percentile scores of tumor-associated CD3+ and CD8+ cell ...

Ionizable Lipid‐Dependent Optimization of Steroid Lipid Nanoparticles With Tunable Immunomodulatory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel engineering strategy that establishes material design principles for incorporating anti‐inflammatory steroids into lipid nanoparticles to reduce LNP‐induced inflammation while retaining mRNA delivery. Results are validated in vitro and in three animal models of inflammation and autoimmunity in vivo.

Anisotropic Masked Mycobacterium Potentiates Amplified Antitumor Trained Immunity via Spleen Targeting and Myelopoiesis Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An engineered Trojan Mycobacterium, developed via a “peeling‐off and masking‐up” strategy, functions as a powerful splenic myelopoiesis converter. This spleen‐targeted nanomedicine induces trained immunity to reprogram immunosuppressive myeloid reservoirs into antitumoral effectors.

Membrane‐Bound Multimodal Plasmonic Transducers for Noninvasive, In Situ Monitoring and Control of CAR T Cells Against Heterogeneous Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Membrane‐bound multimodal transducers enable longitudinal ultrasound‐guided photoacoustic monitoring and in situ thermal control of CAR T cells in heterogeneous solid tumors. Imaging correlates T cell trafficking with tumor response, distinguishing responders from nonresponders.
