Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

BCG vaccination potentiates oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal myeloid‐derived suppressor cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
BCG vaccination enhances oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal MDSCs, impairing their immunosuppressive function. It upregulates electron transport chain genes and mitochondrial activity, increasing ATP and oxygen consumption. Pharmacological OXPHOS inhibition partially restores suppressive capacity, confirming causality.

Anti-CD3 Antibody Treatment Induces Hypoglycemia and Super Tolerance to Glucose Challenge in Mice through Enhancing Glucose Consumption by Activated Lymphocytes

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, 2014
Anti-CD3 antibody has been employed for various immune-mediated disorders. However, whether anti-CD3 administration leads to rapid metabolic alternation has not been well investigated.

CD161 Expression Defines a Th1/Th17 Polyfunctional Subset of Resident Memory T Lymphocytes in Bronchoalveolar Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Alveolar resident memory T cells (T(RM)) comprise a currently uncharacterized mixture of cell subpopulations. The CD3(+)CD161(+) T cell subpopulation resides in the liver, intestine and skin, but it has the capacity for tissue migration; however, the ...

Intracerebral Hemorrhage Induces Monocyte TNF Signaling in Patients That Is Suppressed by BAF312

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) causes high morbidity and mortality, with neurotoxic inflammation driven by infiltrating monocytes. This study is an in‐depth longitudinal examination of the immune response during the first week of ICH in the presence and absence of the immunomodulatory drug BAF312 (Siponimod).

NSOM/QD-based direct visualization of CD3-induced and CD28-enhanced nanospatial coclustering of TCR and coreceptor in nanodomains in T cell activation. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2009
Direct molecular imaging of nano-spatial relationship between T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 and CD4 or CD8 co-receptor before and after activation of a primary T cell has not been reported.

Dasatinib is a potent enhancer for CAR T cell generation by CD3-targeted lentiviral vectors

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Methods & Clinical Development, 2023
CD3-targeted lentiviral vectors (CD3-LVs) mediate selective transduction of human T lymphocytes in vitro and in vivo while simultaneously activating the targeted cells.

Diffuse MRI Edema Predicts Relapse in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy–Related Inflammation

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To identify MRI predictors of relapse and quantify relapse and mortality risk in cerebral amyloid angiopathy–related inflammation (CAA‐RI). A secondary objective was to assess the association between mycophenolate mofetil use and relapse risk. Methods We performed a retrospective cohort study of 36 patients with CAA‐RI treated at the

CD3+CD8+CD28− T Lymphocytes in Patients with Lupus Nephritis

open access: yesJournal of Immunology Research, 2016
The results of studies on the CD3+CD8+CD28- cells in SLE are inconsistent since several analyses describe CD3+CD8+CD28- as either immunosuppressive or cytotoxic.

Differential Biological Role Of Cd3 Chains Revealed By Human Immunodeficiencies

open access: yes, 2007
The biological role in vivo of the homologous CD3 gamma and delta invariant chains within the human TCR/CD3 complex is a matter of debate, as murine models do not recapitulate human immunodeficiencies.
