A Case of Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm Extensively Studied by Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry

open access: yesCase Reports in Hematology, 2017
Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare hematologic malignancy with aggressive clinical course and poor prognosis. Diagnosis is based on detection of CD4+ CD56+, CD123high, TCL-1+, and blood dendritic cell antigen-2/CD303+ blasts ...

EFFECTS OF COMBINED PHYSIOTHERAPY IN CHRONIC ENDOMETRITIS: DYNAMICS OF INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2015
We have performed immunohistochemical staining of lymphocyte subpopulations (CD16+, CD56+, CD20+, CD138+), and HLA-DR antigen (II class) using monoclonal antibodies by “Novocastra” (United Kingdom).

Increased anergic B cells and decreased antibody‐secreting cells during romiplostim treatment in patients with immune thrombocytopenia

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) exhibit substantial heterogeneity in treatment responses. Approximately 30%–50% of patients maintain remission after discontinuation of thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO‐RA), suggesting immunomodulatory effects beyond enhanced thrombopoiesis.

Comparison of RCAS1 and metallothionein expression and the presence and activity of immune cells in human ovarian and abdominal wall endometriomas

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2006
Background The coexistence of endometrial and immune cells during decidualization is preserved by the ability of endometrial cells to regulate the cytotoxic immune activity and their capability to be resistant to immune-mediated apoptosis.

Interferon-α-Induced Dendritic Cells Generated with Human Platelet Lysate Exhibit Elevated Antigen Presenting Ability to Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes

open access: yesVaccines, 2020
Given the recent advancements of immune checkpoint inhibitors, there is considerable interest in cancer immunotherapy provided through dendritic cell (DC)-based vaccination.

Therapeutic potential of natural products in cancer immunotherapy: Advances and challenges

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
This review systematically outlines the mechanisms underlying tumour immunotherapy resistance and elucidates the role of natural products in enhancing therapeutic efficacy as immunomodulatory adjuvants. Abstract Immunotherapy has emerged as a clinically pivotal approach in cancer treatment, but its application remains limited to a small subset of ...

Ovarian Cancer-Associated Ascites Accumulates NK Lymphocytes Displaying a Transcriptomic Profile Consistent With the Immature/Secretory CD56bright Subtype. [PDF]

open access: yesImmunol Cell Biol
NK cells present in EOC‐associated ascites retain elements of the conventional NK cell program while displaying a transcriptional profile distinct from peripheral blood NK cells. This profile encompasses biological programs usually associated with the CD56bright NK cell functions, which is consistent with transcriptional remodeling rather than complete

Primary Cutaneous Gamma‐Delta T‐Cell Lymphoma Complicating Long‐Standing Immunosuppressed Dermatomyositis

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary cutaneous gamma‐delta T‐cell lymphoma (PCGD‐TCL) is a rare cytotoxic lymphoma with key oncogenic drivers in the JAK/STAT pathway. Also primarily involving the subcutaneous adipose tissue, subcutaneous panniculitis‐like T‐cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is more frequently encountered in scenarios of autoimmune disorders.

Adverse outcome of AML with aberrant CD16 and CD56 NK cell marker expression. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Natural killer cells mediate antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity, and CD16 exerts key functions to induce antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity response.
