CD8+ T Lymphocyte Subsets in Bladder Tumor Draining Lymph Nodes [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Immunology, 2016
Background: Cytotoxic CD8+ T cells, as essential parts of the adaptive immune system, play pivotal roles in anti-tumor immune responses. It is well documented that cytokine expression profiles and activation status of these cells during anti-tumor immune

Decoding the Cardiac Immune Microenvironment and Fibroblast Crosstalk in Radiotherapy Combined with Immunotherapy‐Induced Cardiac Fibrosis Based on Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study highlights that radioimmunotherapy drives crosstalk between fibroblasts and immune cells (especially macrophages) in the cardiac microenvironment, with IL‐6 as the key mediator, and tocilizumab alleviates cardiac fibrosis by targeting this interplay.

Humanized and Charge‐Optimized CSPG4‐Specific CAR‐T Cells show Enhanced Efficacy against Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CSPG4 is identified as a high‐value, stemness‐associated target in HPV‐negative HNSCC. By implementing rational biophysical engineering, a humanized and charge‐optimized CAR is developed to overcome tonic signaling‐induced exhaustion. This strategy induces a profound transcriptomic shift toward a rejuvenated, stem‐like memory state, significantly ...

Lymphocyte immunophenotype in dogs with immune-mediated hematologic disease.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
Immune-mediated hematologic diseases (IMHD) including immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) and immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) can cause severe disease in dogs.

TRAP5 Inhibition Targeting Scar‐Associated Macrophages Ameliorates Acute Kidney Injury to Chronic Kidney Disease Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delineates macrophage heterogeneity along the acute kidney injury to chronic kidney disease transition. Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals a TRAP5+ scar‐associated macrophage subset driven by Spp1–Cd44 signaling and mitochondrial metabolic reprogramming.

Cyclic neutropenia and severe hypogammaglobulinemia in a patient with excess of CD8-positive T lymphocytes: response to G-CSF therapy.

open access: yesHaematologica, 1993
Cyclic neutropenia is a rare hematological disorder characterized by periodical severe granulocytopenia. A stem cell defect and/or immunological abnormalities are considered to play a role in this disease. Here we describe the case of an adult woman who was diagnosed as having both cyclic neutropenia and severe hypogammaglobulinemia.

Tumor‐Derived Alpha‐1 Antitrypsin Promotes Liver Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer Through the Neutrophil Extracellular Traps–CCDC25 Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liver metastasis is a leading cause of mortality in colorectal cancer (CRC), where the inflammatory tumor microenvironment, specifically neutrophil infiltration, significantly promotes metastatic colonization. This study reveals a pro‐metastatic role for alpha‐1 antitrypsin (A1AT) in CRC liver metastasis via a dual mechanism involving ...

Multi‐Organelle Stress‐Induced Paraptosis by a ROS‐Amplifying Nanocatalyst for Enhanced Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The engineered TF‐Fe@LC nanoplatform programs paraptotic death via multipath ROS amplification that disrupts redox homeostasis, provoking mitochondrial dysfunction, autophagic blockade, and ER stress. This caspase‐independent process elicits robust immunogenic cell death, combining with αPD‐L1 to activate systemic CD8+ T‐cell immunity and suppress ...
