Comparison of RNA extraction methods in order to optimize total RNA extraction from borage tissues under cadmium stress [PDF]

open access: yesتنش های محیطی در علوم زراعی
IntroductionTranscriptomics studies speed up the basic and applied research on the identification of genes involved in the biosynthesis of medicinally significant primary and secondary metabolites as well as plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Construction of three-frame expression library of Zizyphus jujuba cv. Dongzao cDNA and screening of upstream regulator factors of ZjRWD40 gene

open access: yesGuangxi Zhiwu
Zizyphus jujuba cv. Dongzao, a late-maturing fresh-eating jujube variety unique to China, features tender flesh, abundant juice and minimal residues. It is not only nutritionally rich but also has the value of serving as a medicinal substitute, making it

Generation and characterization of expressed sequence tags in young roots of tea (Camellia assamica)

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2016
Assam tea (Camellia assamica) is perennial crop susceptible to moisture stress. We used its tender roots to construct a cDNA library for the identification, functional annotation, and analysis of transcripts. A total of 811 full-length expressed sequence

Protein Arrays From cDNA Expression Libraries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This chapter describes the production of a cDNA expression library from human fetal brain, the construction of a high-density protein array from such a library, and two applications to screen the array for binding proteins. After producing the library and decollating the expression clones, one can pick thousands of expression clones with a laboratory ...

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Identification and expression pattern analysis of chemosensory receptor genes in the Macrocentrus cingulum (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) antennae

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2016
Macrocentrus cingulum is an important polyembryonic endoparasitic wasp that attacks larvae of the Asian corn borer, Ostrinia furnacalis (Guenée) and the European corn borer, O. nubilalis (Hübner).
