ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Uncovering G Protein‐Coupled Receptors: Novel Targets and Biomarkers for Predicting Glioma Prognosis
ABSTRACT Background Low‐grade gliomas (LGG) exhibit significant heterogeneity and recurrence risk. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCR) contribute to glioma malignant progression, but their prognostic value remains unclear. This work attempts to formulate a GPCR‐based outcome‐predicting model for LGG. Methods Based on TCGA LGG data, the enrichment scores

Prominent Movement Disorders in RNU2‐2‐Related Spliceosomopathy
ABSTRACT Pediatric movement disorders often overlap with neurodevelopmental diseases, suggesting shared molecular mechanisms. Variants in small nuclear RNA (snRNA) genes encoding spliceosome components have recently been associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, termed “RNUopathies.” We analyzed genome sequencing data from 14 patients with ...

The Role of Cell-Free RNA in Clinical Diagnosis and Evaluation of Cell-Free RNA Extraction Methods
2021Cell-free RNA (cf-RNA) is released from cells and circulated in the body via the circulatory and endocrine systems. Subsequently, cf-RNA can be extracted from different biofluids by various extraction methods. This review aims to: (1) clarify the clinical role of cf-RNA and methods of extraction, (2) introduce the evaluation parameters and methods, (3)

Cell free transcription and translation of rotavirus RNA
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1979Abstract Rotavirus single stranded RNA synthesized in vitro by endogenous RNA transcriptase consists of 11 segments that hybridize with genomic RNA. It displays messenger activity when incubated with rabbit reticulocyte lysate. The products of translation were precipitable by anti-rotavirus serum, but not by normal serum.

Cell-free Cytoplasmic Polyadenylation of Oogenic RNA
Differentiation, 1979The products of cell-free ATP incorporation mediated by cytoplasmic fractions prepared from unfertilized sea urchin eggs, anucleate egg halves, nucleate egg halves, emetine-treated fertilized eggs, and four-cell embryos have been characterized to determine to what extent the polymers synthesized are poly(A) and to assess the size distribution of the ...
