Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Clinical resistance to platinum chemotherapy in ovarian cancer [PDF]
Platinum drugs are the most active agents in ovarian cancer. Their cytotoxicty results from DNA crosslinking. High tumour response rates are seen, but 80 % of patients relapse. Major mechanisms of platinum resistance in patients remain to be established.

A kinetic model of membrane repair [PDF]
Two microelectrodes are inserted into a Xenopus laevis egg. Rectangular current pulses are injected through one microelectrode and the voltage induced across the cell membrane is measured via the second electrode.

Determining the Role of Annexin A6 in Cell Membrane Repair
All cells are susceptible to stress or contraction‐induced membrane damage; any disruption to the plasma membrane, if left unrepaired, leads to cytoplasmic efflux, ion influx, and ultimately cell death. To maintain homeostasis, cells utilize a highly‐conserved, calcium‐dependent repair system that comprises multiple players that dispatch two ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Injectable Cell-based Tissue Engineered Bone Formulations [PDF]
PhDCurrent golden standard therapy for bone repair and regeneration involves the use of auto grafts. Nevertheless, there are many drawbacks associated with auto grafts including donor site morbidity, requirement for an invasive surgery, post-operative

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
