MreB filaments align along greatest principal membrane curvature to orient cell wall synthesis
MreB is essential for rod shape in many bacteria. Membrane-associated MreB filaments move around the rod circumference, helping to insert cell wall in the radial direction to reinforce rod shape.

Nonmuscle myosin II (NM II) is an integral part of essential cellular processes, including adhesion and migration. Mammalian cells express up to three isoforms termed NM IIA, B, and C. We used U2OS cells to create CRISPR/Cas9-based knockouts of all three

The shape of convective rain cells [PDF]
The shape of rainfall cells is a crucial ingredient of stochastic point‐process models that describe intense precipitation events. Here we study the shape of the individual rain cells measured during the TOGA/COARE and GATE radar experiments. We find that, on average, rainfall intensity decreases exponentially from the cell's center.

ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...

Emergent networks in immune system shape space [PDF]
The development of a computational model is reported which facilitates the study of emergent principles of human immune system effector T cell clonotype repertoire and its distribution and differentiation.

During asymmetrical division of the endomesodermal precursor cell EMS, a cortical flow arises, and the daughter cells, endodermal precursor E and mesodermal precursor MS, have an enduring difference in the levels of F-actin and non-muscular myosin ...

ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients
