Myosin motors fragment and compact membrane-bound actin filaments
Cell cortex remodeling during cell division is a result of myofilament-driven contractility of the cortical membrane-bound actin meshwork. Little is known about the interaction between individual myofilaments and membrane-bound actin filaments.

Degradation of human kininogens with the release of kinin peptides by extracellular proteinases of Candida spp. [PDF]
The secretion of proteolytic enzymes by pathogenic microorganisms is one of the most successful strategies used by pathogens to colonize and infect the host organism.

Small Physical Cross-Linker Facilitates Hyaluronan Hydrogels
In this study, we demonstrate that small charged molecules (NH4+, GluA+, dHA+) can form physical cross-links between hyaluronan chains, facilitating polymerization reactions between synthetically introduced thiol groups (HA-DTPH).

Evidence for DNA-mediated nuclear compartmentalization distinct from phase separation. [PDF]
RNA Polymerase II (Pol II) and transcription factors form concentrated hubs in cells via multivalent protein-protein interactions, often mediated by proteins with intrinsically disordered regions.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Inducing Lipid Domains in Membranes by Self‐Assembly of DNA Origami
Self‐assembly of biological molecules and structures is a fundamental property of life. Whereas most biological functions are based on self‐assembled proteins and protein complexes, the self‐assembly of lipids is important for the spatial organization of

A unified mechanistic model of niche, neutrality and violation of the competitive exclusion principle [PDF]
The origin of species richness is one of the most widely discussed questions in ecology. The absence of unified mechanistic model of competition makes difficult our deep understanding of this subject.

On the phase space structure of IP3 induced Ca2+ signalling and concepts for predictive modeling [PDF]
The correspondence between mathematical structures and experimental systems is the basis of the generalizability of results found with specific systems, and is the basis of the predictive power of theoretical physics.
