Cembranoids from the Cultured Soft Coral Sinularia Gibberosa [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2013
An EtOAc extract of the cultured soft coral Sinularia gibberosa yielded a new cembrane-based diterpenoid, cugibberosene A (1), together with the previously reported three cembranoids (2–4). The structure determination was based on extensive NMR studies.

Lobocrassins A–E: New Cembrane-Type Diterpenoids from the Soft Coral Lobophytum crassum

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2011
Five new cembrane-type diterpenoids, lobocrassins A–E (1–5), were isolated from the soft coral Lobophytum crassum. The structures of cembranes 1–5 were established by spectroscopic and chemical methods and by comparison of the spectral data with those of

Phytochemical Analysis and Pharmaceutical Applications of Monoterpenoids Present in the Essential Oil of Boswellia sacra (Omani Luban)

open access: yesAdvances in Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Due to its intricacy and long‐term usefulness, traditional medicine continues to be practiced in several nations. Among the many medicinal plants found in the Dhofar region of Oman, the aromatic oleo‐gum resin generated by Boswellia sacra, commonly referred to as frankincense, stands out for its medical and commercial significance. Resin‐carrying ducts

Biscembranoids and Cembranoids from the Soft Coral Sarcophyton elegans [PDF]

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2017
Two novel biscembranoids, sarelengans A and B (1 and 2), five new cembranoids, sarelengans C–G (3–7), along with two known cembranoids (8 and 9) were isolated from the South China Sea soft coral Sarcophyton elegans. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods, and those of 1, 4, 5, and 6 were confirmed by single crystal X-ray

On‐Line Analysis of Cigarette Smoke Based on Microwave Plasma Torch Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 13, Issue 9, September 2024.
Cigarette smoke contains a large number of flavor components and harmful substances, so it is crucial to establish an effective method for smoke detection and analysis. This article provides a method for on‐line analysis of smoke with MPT‐MS (Microwave plasma torch mass spectrometry), and achieved detection of 22 flavor compounds and 2 polycyclic ...

Secondary metabolome and its defensive role in the aeolidoidean Phyllodesmium longicirrum, (Gastropoda, Heterobranchia, Nudibranchia)

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2017
Phyllodesmium longicirrum is the largest aeolidoidean species known to date, and extremely rich in terpenoid chemistry. Herein we report the isolation of a total of 19 secondary metabolites from a single specimen of this species, i.e., steroids 1–4 ...
