Formulation of Fenofibrate Liquisolid Tablets Using Central Composite Design
Current Drug Delivery, 2014Liquisolid technique has been widely used to enhance the dissolution of poorly water soluble drugs. The present investigation is on formulation of liquisolid tablets of fenofibrate, a lipid lowering agent. Liquisolid formulation was prepared by applying central composite design (CCD) to optimize various formulation parameters.

Two‐strata rotatability in split‐plot central composite designs
Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, 2009AbstractA rotatable design (Ann. Math. Stat.1957;28:195–241) forkfactors is one such that the prediction variance is purely a function of distance from the design center. Of special interest in this paper is the rotatable central composite design (CCD), which most software packages use as the typical default choice for a second‐order design.

Optimized synthesis of polyglutaraldehyde nanoparticles using central composite design
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1988A central composite design was applied to the optimization of the synthesis of polyglutaraldehyde nanoparticles (PGNP). The effects of monomer concentration, surfactant concentration, pH, oxygen level, and stirring rate on the particle size, polydispersity, surface carboxyl group concentration, and yield of PGNP were investigated.

Model Simulation Study of Central Composite Design and Uniform Design
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2007<div class="htmlview paragraph">The relationship between the response (output) and the input factors on a system or process is always needed. This relationship can be used to optimize the response. The Central Composite Design (CCD) is the most commonly used in response surface study. The Uniform Design (UD) can have a small number of experiments

Design and Optimization of 3D-Printed Gastroretentive Floating Devices by Central Composite Design
AAPS PharmSciTech, 2021This study aimed to optimize the size of capsule-shaped 3D-printed devices (CPD) using an experimental design by the response surface methodology to provide a gastroretentive drug delivery system (GRDDS) with optimal floating time. The CPD was fabricated using a fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printer.

Design and Optimization of Domperidone Fast Dissolving Tablet Using Central Composite Design
Current Drug Delivery, 2015The main aim present work was to optimize fast dissolving tablet (FDT) formulation using response surface approach. The variables studied were sodium bicarbonate (X1), citric acid (X2), and superdisintegrant, Ac-Di-Sol (X3). The main aspect of present work was to develop FDT of Domperidone which possesses fast disintegration and high mechanical ...

Two-stage central composite designs with dispersion effects
Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 1998Traditional response surface methods assume homogeneous variance throughout the design region. To estimate a second order location model, a central composite design is often used. In situations with few design variables, it is possible to have replications at the design locations. Mays (1996) illustrated that an equal replicate central composite design

Research Note: Modified Orthogonal Central-Composite Designs
Human Factors: The Journal of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, 1976Simplified formulae for determining the coded value of α are presentedfor rotatable, blocked orthogonal second–order designs in which all data points are replicated an equal number of times. These three central–composite design parameters are compared, and the advantages and limitations of orthogonal designs are presented.
