Ethnic segregation and xenophobic party preference : exploring the influence of the presence of visible minorities on local electoral support for the Sweden Democrats [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper provides evidence of segregation-generated differences in political recruitment. Focusing on social-geographical differentiation in the urban landscape, we evaluate—in prior work largely neglected—contextual effects on requests for political ...

Leading soft theorem for multiple gravitini

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We compute leading soft theorem for multiple gravitini (and gravitons) in an arbitrary theory of supergravity with an arbitrary number of finite energy particles by extending Sen’s approach [1, 2] to fermionic symmetry. Our results are independent of the

Neumann–Rosochatius system for (m,n) string in $$AdS_3 \times S^3$$ A d S 3 × S 3 with mixed flux

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
$$SL(2,{\mathbb {Z}})$$ S L ( 2 , Z ) invariant action for probe (m, n) string in $$AdS_3\times S^3\times T^4$$ A d S 3 × S 3 × T 4 with mixed three-form fluxes can be described by an integrable deformation of an one-dimensional Neumann–Rosochatius (NR ...

Information and communication technology enabling partnership in person-centred diabetes management: building a theoretical framework from an inductive case study in The Netherlands [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ Open, 2019
ObjectivesThe aim of this paper is to construct a theoretical framework for information and communication technology (ICT)-enabled partnership towards diabetes management.DesignWe conducted an inductive case study and held interviews on the development and use of an artificial pancreas (AP) system for diabetes management.SettingThe study was carried ...

Factors that influence the implementation of dietary guidelines regarding food provision in centre based childcare services: A systematic review.

open access: yesPreventive Medicine, 2017
Children attending centre based childcare services consume as much as two thirds of their daily dietary requirements while in care. However, such services often fail to provide foods that are consistent with guideline recommendations.

Utilization of Incident Reporting in The Finnish Maritime Industry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Marine traffic is expected to increase rapidly in the future, both in the Baltic Sea and in the Gulf of Finland. As the number of vessels in the area increases, so does the risk of serious marine accidents.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Topological susceptibility and QCD axion mass: QED and NNLO corrections

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We improve the precision of the topological susceptibility of QCD, and therefore of the QCD axion mass, by including O(α em) and NNLO corrections in the chiral expansion, which amount to 0.65(21)% and -0.71(29)% respectively.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
