Density-on-Density Regression [PDF]
In this study, a density-on-density regression model is introduced, where the association between densities is elucidated via a warping function. The proposed model has the advantage of a being straightforward demonstration of how one density transforms into another.

The chaperone protein clusterin may serve as a cerebrospinal fluid biomarker for chronic spinal cord disorders in the dog [PDF]
Chronic spinal cord dysfunction occurs in dogs as a consequence of diverse aetiologies, including long-standing spinal cord compression and insidious neurodegenerative conditions. One such neurodegenerative condition is canine degenerative myelopathy (DM)

New Aspects of Thromboangiitis obliterans (von Winiwarter-Buerger's Disease) [PDF]
The existence of thromboangiitis obliterans as a clinical entity has been a matter of debate for many years. In contrast to other immunovasculitides there is no organ involvement while peripheral vessels are affected.

Prediction of Proteins in Cerebrospinal Fluid and Application to Glioma Biomarker Identification
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteins are very important because they can serve as biomarkers for central nervous system diseases. Although many CSF proteins have been identified with wet experiments, the identification of CSF proteins is still a challenge.

Prion protein in the cerebrospinal fluid of healthy and naturally scrapie-affected sheep [PDF]
The aim of this study was to characterize the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) prion protein (PrP) of healthy and naturally scrapie-affected sheep. The soluble form of CSF PrPC immunoblotted with an anti-octarepeat and an anti-C terminus mAb showed two isoforms

Analysis of Growing Tumor on the Flow Velocity of Cerebrospinal Fluid in Human Brain Using Computational Modeling and Fluid-Structure Interaction [PDF]
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) plays a pivotal role in normal functioning of Brain. Intracranial compartments such as blood, brain and CSF are incompressible in nature. Therefore, if a volume imbalance in one of the aforenoted compartments is observed, the other reaches out to maintain net change to zero.

Elevated cerebral spinal fluid biomarkers in children with mucopolysaccharidosis I-H. [PDF]
Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) type-IH is a lysosomal storage disease that results from mutations in the IDUA gene causing the accumulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs).

Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Biomarker-Drug and Liquid Biopsy Co-development for Disease Staging and Targeted Therapy: Cornerstones for Alzheimer's Precision Medicine and Pharmacology. [PDF]
Systems biology studies have demonstrated that different (epi)genetic and pathophysiological alterations may be mapped onto a single tumor's clinical phenotype thereby revealing commonalities shared by cancers with divergent phenotypes.

Blood-cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) barrier dysfunction means reduced CSF flow not barrier leakage - conclusions from CSF protein data [PDF]
Background: Increased concentrations of serum proteins in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) are interpreted as blood-CSF barrier dysfunction. Frequently used interpretations such as barrier leakage, disruption or breakdown contradict CSF protein data, which ...
