Chagas Disease in the United States: a Public Health Approach
Trypanosoma cruzi is the etiological agent of Chagas disease, usually transmitted by triatomine vectors. An estimated 20 to 30% of infected individuals develop potentially lethal cardiac or gastrointestinal disease.

The epidemiology of Chagas disease in the Americas
Summary Chagas disease is a complex parasitic zoonosis that still threatens public health across the Americas. Initiatives to control Trypanosoma cruzi transmission via blood transfusion and non-native triatomine-bug vectors have yielded crucial advances;

Electrocardiogram in Chagas disease [PDF]
Since the initial descriptions of Chagas cardiomyopathy (ChCM), the electrocardiography has played a key role in patient evaluations. The diagnostic criterion of chronic ChCM is the presence of characteristic electrocardiographic (ECG) abnormalities in seropositive individuals, regardless of the presence of symptoms.

Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger P‐site tRNA‐mediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA
PTMD codons were first described by Mendel et al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.

Engineering a Correlated Narrow‐Gap Semiconductor: Effects of Ga Substitution in EuZn2P2
ABSTRACT The effect of Ga substitution on the electronic, magnetic, and low‐energy responses of the Zintl phase EuZn2P2${\rm EuZn}_2 {\rm P}_2$ is investigated by electrical transport, electron spin resonance (ESR), and terahertz time‐domain spectroscopy (THz‐TDS). Incorporating Ga into EuZn2P2${\rm EuZn}_2 {\rm P}_2$ (EuZn1.8Ga0.2P2${\rm EuZn}_{1.8} {\
