Exact Ground States for Quasi 1D Systems with Hubbard Interaction [PDF]
Using a positive semidefinite operator technique we deduced exact ground states for a modified diamond chain described by a non-integrable Hubbard model with on-site repulsion.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

A maximal chain approach to topology and order
On ordered sets (posets, lattices) we regard topologies (or, more general convergence structures) which on any maximal chain of the ordered set induce its own interval topology.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

ESG strategy in the supply chain considering ownership structures
Firms with higher ESG ratings typically exhibit greater efficiency in resource utilization, thereby promoting sustainable development. The ownership structure of a supply chain influences corporate behavior, affecting both overall performance and ESG ...

The multimolecular assembly of three-dimensionally structured proteins forms their quaternary structures, some of which have high geometric symmetry. The size and complexity of protein quaternary structures often increase in a hierarchical manner, with ...

Proteins, chain molecules of amino acids, behave in ways which are similar to each other yet quite distinct from standard compact polymers. We demonstrate that the Flory theorem, derived for polymer melts, holds for compact protein native state ...

$^{10}$B+$\alpha$ states with chain-like structures in $^{14}$N [PDF]
I investigate $^{10}$B+$\alpha$ cluster states of $^{14}$N with a $^{10}$B+$\alpha$ cluster model. Near the $\alpha$-decay threshold energy, I obtain $K^\pi=3^+$ and $K^\pi=1^+$ rotational bands having $^{10}$B($3^+$)+$\alpha$ and $^{10}$B($1^+$)+$\alpha$
