ABSTRACT Tangeretin has been known as a polymethoxylated flavone conferring both phytoprotection and nutraceutical value, but cryoprotective roles and molecular regulation of tangeretin under abiotic stresses remain largely unexplored. In this study, we demonstrated that cold treatment led to greater accumulation of tangeretin and upregulation of ...

ABSTRACT The “salt tree”, Rhus chinensis, holds significant economic and medicinal value due to its ability to produce Galla chinensis (Chinese gall/gallnut), a plant‐derived medicinal material used in both traditional Chinese and modern medicine that is rich in tannins and flavonoids. It is also renowned for its remarkable stress tolerance.

Modular optimization of heterologous pathways for de novo synthesis of (2S)-naringenin in Escherichia coli. [PDF]
Due to increasing concerns about food safety and environmental issues, bio-based production of flavonoids from safe, inexpensive, and renewable substrates is increasingly attracting attention.

Transcriptional regulation of the Arabidopsis thaliana chalcone synthase gene. [PDF]
We have cloned an Arabidopsis thaliana chalcone synthase (CHS) gene on the basis of cross-hybridization with a Petroselinum hortense CHS cDNA clone. The protein sequence deduced from the A. thaliana CHS DNA sequence is at least 85% homologous to the CHS sequences from P. hortense, Antirrhinum majus, and Petunia hybrida. Southern blot analysis indicated

GmMYB4 Positively Regulates Isoflavone Biosynthesis via the GmMAPK6‐GmMYB4‐MBW Module in Soybean
ABSTRACT Isoflavones, a class of bioactive compounds predominantly found in leguminous plants, are largely responsible for their beneficial effects on human health. Although MYB transcription factors (TFs) are known to be crucial regulators of isoflavone biosynthesis in soybean, the precise mechanisms underlying their regulatory functions remain poorly

ABSTRACT Diosmin is often used as a dietary supplement, and it is sometimes used to make phlebotropic drugs for venous diseases. Traditionally, diosmin is obtained by the dehydrogenation of the flavanone glycoside hesperidin through chemical semisynthesis.

Improved Longan Genome Assembly Reveals Insights Into Flowering Mechanisms
ABSTRACT Longan is an exotic tropical fruit crop and exhibits off‐season flowering induced by potassium chlorate (KClO3), though the molecular mechanisms remain unclear. We assembled a high‐quality, 441.5 Mb genome of variety ‘Shixia’, with a contig N50 at 28.1 Mb, 29, 325 protein‐coding genes, 26 telomeres and 15 centromeres.
