SBA‐15 Particles as Carriers for a Series of Platinum(IV) Complexes with Oxaliplatin Scaffolds Bearing Different Anti‐Inflammatory Drugs: Promising Strategy Against Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, Volume 6, Issue 9, September 2023., 2023
This article describes oxaliplatin‐based PtIV prodrugs with anti‐inflammatory ligands loaded in mesoporous silica SBA‐15 material, designed and shown to provide high loading capacity and gradual drug release. In several breast carcinoma cell lines, including some in which cisplatin and oxaliplatin are remarkably inactive, greatly enhanced cytotoxicity ...

A randomized controlled trial of a 5‐year marriage checkup booster session for a subsample of responder couples

open access: yesJournal of Marital and Family Therapy, Volume 49, Issue 1, Page 49-73, January 2023., 2023
Abstract This study examined maintenance and booster effects of a brief couple intervention, the Marriage Checkup (MC), across 5 years. A subsample of 63 couples who benefitted from two previous MCs (responder couples), were randomly assigned to a third MC or control. Before randomization (at 4‐years‐9‐months), the responder sample had maintained small

Detecting initial aragonite and calcite variations in limestone–marl alternations

open access: yesSedimentology, Volume 68, Issue 7, Page 3102-3115, December 2021., 2021
Abstract Limestone–marl alternations are commonly used for high‐resolution cyclostratigraphic studies and palaeoenvironmental reconstructions, but diagenetic studies indicate that not all limestone–marl alternations reflect genuine differences in the initial sediment composition driven by environmental changes.

Brackish water algal reefs – facies analysis as a tool to identify palaeoenvironmental variations in Miocene deposits (Mainz‐Weisenau, Germany)

open access: yesGeological Journal, Volume 56, Issue 5, Page 2760-2771, May 2021., 2021
This study investigates the record of small‐scale changes in the depositional environment of Miocene brackish‐water deposits from the Mainz Basin (Germany) by facies analysis. Set‐up, distribution of the reef facies, and reef debris indicate short‐time variations of temperature, salinity and water depth. The apparent caliche horizons actually represent

Addressing Environmental Challenges of Porphyrin Mixtures Obtained from Statistical Syntheses

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 1, Issue 3, Page 142-147, March 2021., 2021
Syntheses of unsymmetrical porphyrins on the preparative scale are often accompanied by expensive purification steps. With the help of common semi‐automated laboratory devices, we show that the consumable costs, the operators’ time, and the produced waste can be reduced significantly.

Facettierte verzweigte Nickel‐Nanopartikel mit variierbarer Verzweigungslänge für die hochaktive elektrokatalytische Oxidation von Biomasse

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 132, Issue 36, Page 15615-15620, September 1, 2020., 2020
