Circulating Exosomes Drive Persistent Neuronal Dysfunction in Post‐Herpetic Neuralgia Patients
Proposed model of exosome‐mediated neuronal dysfunction in post‐herpetic neuralgia (PHN). (1) Circulating, non‐pathogenic exosomes maintain homeostatic processes in healthy skin, where sensory nerve fibers innervate the epidermis and dermis. (2) During acute zoster, reactivating varicella zoster virus (VZV) travels down neurites to the skin causing ...

The essential endoplasmic reticulum chaperone Rot1 is required for protein N- and O-glycosylation in yeast [PDF]
Rot1 is an essential yeast protein originally shown to be implicated in such diverse processes such as β-1,6-glucan synthesis, actin cytoskeleton dynamics, or lysis of autophagic bodies.

Engineered endotoxin‐free Escherichia coli were used to assemble poly(3‐hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) biopolymer particles displaying multiple conserved Burkholderia pseudomallei antigens via PhaC‐mediated surface presentation. Following formulation with poly(I:C), the particulate vaccines induced antigen‐specific humoral and cellular immune responses ...

vvrr1, a small RNA, post‐transcriptionally represses the transcriptional regulator LeuO, which directly inhibits the VarS/VarA two‐component system. This triggers a Csr cascade that relieves LuxO repression, ultimately modulating exopolysaccharide production to control biofilm formation and virulence in Vibrio alginolyticus.
