A note on the characteristic equation in the max-plus algebra
We discuss the characteristic equation of a matrix in the max-plus algebra. In their Linear Algebra Appl. paper [101:87–108 (1998)] Olsder and Roos have used a transformation between the max-plus algebra and linear algebra to show that the Cayley ...

A REMARK ON THE CHARACTERISTIC SET FOR CONVOLUTION EQUATIONS
In the one-dimensional case, we prove that for a general convolution equation defined on a tube domain, the complete regular growthness of the symbol of the operator and the existence of noncharacteristic directions cannot be compatible except for differential operators (i.e. local operators).

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Behavior of the solutions to second order linear autonomous delay differential equations
A wide class of second order linear autonomous delay differential equations with distributed type delays is considered. An asymptotic result, a useful exponential estimate of the solutions, a stability criterion, and a result on the behavior of the ...

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected
