Explicit Numerical Manifold Characteristic Galerkin Method for Solving Burgers’ Equation

open access: yes
This paper presents a nonstandard numerical manifold method (NMM) for solving Burgers’ equation. Employing the characteristic Galerkin method, we initially apply the Crank–Nicolson method for temporal discretization along the characteristic. Subsequently,

Maxwell’s Mixing Equation Revisited: Characteristic Impedance Equations for Ellipsoidal Cells

open access: yes, 2015
We derived a series of, to our knowledge, new analytic expressions for the characteristic features of the impedance spectra of suspensions of homogeneous and single-shell spherical, spheroidal, and ellipsoidal objects, e.g., biological cells of the ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

SOLVING THE FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL RICCATI EQUATION ARISING FROM THE HESTON MODEL WITH NEURAL NETWORKS AND POWER SERIES EXPANSION

open access: yes, 2022
reservedIn my work I explore the fractional differential Riccati equation, which is a particular equation that arises in many different mathematical problems. In particular, It arises in the financial stochastic model of Heston, more precisely, the rough

Delay‐dependent small‐signal stability analysis of inverter‐based islanded microgrids

open access: yesIET Smart Grid
The stability of an inverter‐based hierarchical microgrid is challenged by inverter controls, network dynamics, load models and communication delays among the interacting agents.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

A polynomial algebraic approach to Lyapunov stability analysis of higher-order 2D systems

open access: yes, 2010
We introduce a four-variable polynomial matrix equation which plays an essential role in the stability analysis of discrete 2-D systems and in the computation of Lyapunov functions for such systems; we call this the 2-D polynomial Lyapunov equation (2-D ...

On a characteristic problem for a loaded hyperbolic equation

open access: yes, 2019
The paper studies a loaded hyperbolic equation with one - dimensional wave equation in its main part. In the loaded components there are two points, which are distributed respectively along a pair of intersecting characteristics at a constant speed.
