TO THE PROBLEM OF STUDYING THE ETHICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PERSON

open access: yesHumanities & Social Sciences Reviews, 2019
Purposes: The crisis in modern humanitarian science testifies to the need to search for a new approach that goes beyond the boundaries of the natural-science approach, which in its turn involves addressing to the origins of our culture, expanding the categorical apparatus and methodological basis of psychology.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

A remark on the characteristic Cauchy problem

open access: yes, 1990
The Cauchy problem with data of finite energy is solved for a general class of non-timelike surfaces. In the characteristic case this means that the restriction to the surface is given in the Sobolev space H(1)

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

A New Characteristic Nonconforming Mixed Finite Element Scheme for Convection-Dominated Diffusion Problem

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
A characteristic nonconforming mixed finite element method (MFEM) is proposed for the convection-dominated diffusion problem based on a new mixed variational formulation.

Classical solution for initial–boundary value problem for wave equation with integral boundary condition

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2012
The unique existence of classical solution of initial–boundary value problem for wave equation with a special integral boundary condition is proved in the work. Classical solution of the problem in analytical form is also found in the article.

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Hilbert’s tenth problem for rational function fields in characteristic 2

open access: yes, 1994
In Hilbert’s Tenth problem for fields of rational functions over finite fields (Invent. Math. 103 (1991)) Pheidas showed that Hilbert’s Tenth problem over a field of rational functions with constant field a finite field of characteristic other than

The Cauchy–Dirichlet problem for the Moore–Gibson–Thompson equation

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2021
The Cauchy–Dirichlet problem for the Moore–Gibson–Thompson equation is analyzed. With the focus on non-homogeneous boundary data, two approaches are offered: one is based on the theory of hyperbolic equations, while the other one uses the theory of ...

On p-embedding problems in characteristic p

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2010
Let K be a valued field of characteristic p>0 with non-p-divisible value group. We show that every finite embedding problem for K whose kernel is a p-group is properly solvable.
