Biomass‐Coupled HER System: A Strategy for Sustainable and Low‐Cost Hydrogen Production

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Pine wood is carbonized into a hierarchically porous biochar anode that undergoes carbon oxidation reaction, replacing the oxygen evolution reaction in alkaline water electrolysis. The resulting biomass‐coupled HER system converts water into hydrogen at low cell voltages, enabling low‐cost H2 production from renewable carbon resources. ABSTRACT Biomass‐

Ionization and charge exchange in multiply-charged-ionhelium collisions at intermediate energies [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1987
A Bohr classical model for He is applied to multiply charged ions colliding with He at intermediate energies. Reactions studied are single-electron capture, single and double ionization, and electron-capture ionization for projectile charge states q = 1+ to 100+, and the energy range E = 1--5 MeV/amu.
