Dynamic Interfacial Chemistry of Choline Chloride as Electrolyte Additive for Stable Zn‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Choline chloride (ChCl) additive enables dynamic interface engineering in Zn‐I2 batteries by forming hydrophobic polyiodide complexes and a Zn‐stabilizing Ch+‐rich layer under electric field modulation. This dual‐function strategy suppresses iodine hydrolysis and dendrite formation, while optimizing Zn2+ solvation and transport for high‐efficiency ...

Electro‐Steric Ion Confinement in Polyelectrolyte Networks for Robust Nonvolatile Artificial Synapse

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolyte stoichiometry governs ion transport and retention in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. A PSS‐rich network creates electro‐steric ion confinement that suppresses ion back‐diffusion and stabilizes channel doping, enabling robust nonvolatile synaptic memory, linear weight updates, and low‐energy operation.

MOHOS-type memory performance using HfO₂ nanoparticles as charge trapping layer and low temperature annealing

open access: yes, 2012
In this work, HfO₂ nanoparticles (np-HfO₂) are embedded within a spin-on glass (SOG)-based oxide matrix and used as a charge trapping layer in metal–oxide–high-k–oxide–silicon (MOHOS)-type memory applications.

Generalizing "Charge without Charge" to Obtain Classical Analogs of Short-Range Interactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Several decades ago, Wheeler and Misner presented a model of electric charge ("charge without charge") based on the topological trapping of electric field lines in wormholes.

An Ultrahigh‐Rectification‐Ratio WSe2 Homojunction Defined by High‐Efficiency Charge Trapping Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials
Although 2D material van der Waals heterostructures (vdWHs) exhibit many novel properties and applications, 2D homojunctions have unique advantages in interface lattice matching, band continuity, and charge transfer efficiency. However, the rectification

Silver Nanoparticle-Doped Titanium Oxide Thin Films for Intermediate Layers in Organic Tandem Solar Cell

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2013
In this work we investigate the Ag nanoparticle doping of TiOx used as an intermediate layer between subcells of a tandem organic photovoltaic. We use a model polymer cell structure of P3HT:TiOx:PEDOT:P3HT to observe charge-trapping effects as a function

Low noise charge injection in the CCD22

open access: yes, 2004
The inclusion of a charge injection structure on a charge coupled device (CCD) allows for the mitigation of charge transfer loss which can be caused by radiation induced charge trapping defects.
