First‐line serplulimab plus chemotherapy in extensive‐stage small‐cell lung cancer: Updated results and biomarker analysis from the ASTRUM‐005 randomized clinical trial

open access: yesCancer Communications, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The ASTRUM‐005 study previously demonstrated a significant overall survival (OS) benefit with serplulimab (a programmed death 1 inhibitor) plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone in previously untreated extensive‐stage small‐cell lung cancer (ES‐SCLC).

Ubiquitination in cancer: mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities

open access: yesCancer Communications, EarlyView.
Abstract Ubiquitination, a key post‐translational modification, plays an essential role in tumor biology by regulating fundamental cellular processes, such as metabolism and cell death. Additionally, it interacts with other post‐translational modifications, which are closely linked to tumorigenesis, tumor progression, the tumor microenvironment, and ...

SIRT7‐Mediated MVP Desuccinylation Facilitates Tongue Squamous Cell Carcinoma Progression by Activating JAK2/STAT3 Pathway

open access: yesCell Biology International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Major vault protein (MVP) plays a contributing role in multifarious cancers, and then its role in Tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) is uncomprehending. This study aimed to investigate the regulatory effect of MVP on malignant behavior of TSCC cells and its mechanism. We first pointed out the abnormal upregulation of MVP in tumor tissues by

Beyond Histones: Unveiling the Functional Roles of Protein Acetylation in Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes

open access: yesCell Biology International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lysine acetylation plays a crucial role in cellular processes and is found across various evolutionary organisms. Recent advancements in proteomic techniques revealed the presence of acetylation in thousands of non‐histone proteins. Here, we conducted extensive meta‐analysis of 48 acetylomes spanning diverse organisms, including archaea ...

Targeting the Tumor Microbiota in Cancer Therapy Basing on Nanomaterials

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Intra‐tumoral microbiota, which is a potential component of the tumor microenvironment, has been emerging as a key participant and driving factor in cancer. This article reviews the latest progress in this field, including the microbial community within tumors and its pro‐cancer mechanisms, as well as the anti‐tumor strategies targeting intra‐tumoral ...

Chemoresistance in breast tumors.

open access: yesEuropean journal of gynaecological oncology, 1991
Resistance to multiple chemotherapeutic agents is a common clinical problem in the treatment of cancer: such resistance may occur in primary therapy or be acquired during treatment. The most commonly used antineoplastic agents in the treatment of disseminated breast cancer are adriamycin, methotrexate and cyclophosphamide.
