CXCR1 Depletion in Ly6C+ cDC2 Alleviates Acute Lung Injury via Modulation of Th17/Treg Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pro‐inflammatory Ly6C⁺ cDC2s are identified as key effector cells mediating Cxcr1 signaling, driving the progression of ALI. Ly6C⁺ cDC2s release high levels of Il‐6 and Il‐1β, inducing Th17 differentiation. Cxcr1 deficiency reduces Il‐6 and Il‐1β production from Ly6C⁺ cDC2s through suppressing MEK1/ERK /NF‐κB signaling, thereby shifts naïve T cells ...

Immune relevant gene expression of mammary epithelial cells and their influence on leukocyte chemotaxis in response to different mastitis pathogens

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2006
Different mastitis pathogens induce different courses of infection, i.e. more or less severe. Mammary epithelial cells play an important role in the initial combat against microorganisms by expression of cytokines and acute phase proteins that regulate ...

Single-Cell Transcriptomes Reveal a Complex Cellular Landscape in the Middle Ear and Differential Capacities for Acute Response to Infection. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Single-cell transcriptomics was used to profile cells of the normal murine middle ear. Clustering analysis of 6770 transcriptomes identified 17 cell clusters corresponding to distinct cell types: five epithelial, three stromal, three lymphocyte, two ...

Macrophage Zc3h12c Limits Tissue Inflammation and Injury via Alternative Splicing of Pre‐mRNA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work defines the context‐dependent function of Zc3h12c in macrophages using the Tnfrsf11a‐Cre system. It reveals Zc3h12c's dual mechanism—regulating RNA degradation and alternative splicing—with STAT1 as a key target. The findings elucidate a novel post‐transcriptional pathway and identify STAT1 isoforms as potential therapeutic targets for kidney

Thalidomide in treatment of connective diseases and vasculities

open access: yesReumatismo, 2011
Thalidomide is an immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and anti-angiogenic drug. Thalidomide exerts its effects by decreasing circulating CD4 positive T-cells and stimulating CD8 positive T-cells, by increasing the number of Natural Killer cells and T ...

KLK1 as an Epithelial‐Specific Brake Inhibits Colorectal Tumorigenesis by Suppressing B1R‐Mediated Fibroblast Phenotypic Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
KLK1 downregulation disrupts the intestinal mucosal barrier and impairs kallikrein‐kinin signaling, thereby reducing Lys‐des‐Arg9‐BK production. This enhances B1R activation on ADAMDEC1⁺ fibroblasts, promoting inflammation and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. The resulting iCAFs promote colorectal cancer progression, highlighting a novel KLK1‐B1R

Effects of Clostridium difficile Toxin A and B on Human T Lymphocyte Migration

open access: yesToxins, 2013
Bacterial products such as toxins can interfere with a variety of cellular processes, leading to severe human diseases. Clostridium difficile toxins, TcdA and TcdB are the primary contributing factors to the pathogenesis of C.

CXCL13 Expression Promotes CAR T Cell Antitumor Activity and Potentiates Response to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that engineering CAR T cells to express CXCL13 enhances their antitumor efficacy and significantly improves responsiveness to PD‐1 immune checkpoint blockade. CXCL13 promotes T cell persistence, and resistance to early exhaustion via the AKT‐mTOR pathway.

BACE2‐Induced Aberrant Lymphatic Network Aggravates the Local Inflammation in Arteriovenous Fistulas With Hyperphosphatemia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)‐C secreted by Pi16+ fibro‐progenitors lays the foundation of lymphatic network in mouse arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs), whereas the elevated phosphate (Pi) in 5/6‐nephrectomy (Nx) mouse activates p‐ERK/p‐SP1/BACE2 pathway to generate additional soluble VEGFR‐3, which causes VEGF‐C unresponsiveness and defective ...

Polymorphonuclear leukocyte chemotaxis in dermatitis herpetiformis

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica, 1981
Polymorphonuclear leukocyte chemotaxis was investigated in 15 patients with dermatitis herpetiformis and was found not to be significantly increased when compared with the polymorphonuclear leukocyte chemotaxis of 15 normal healthy controls. These results indicate that accumulations of polymorphonuclear leukocytes found in the skin of patients with ...
