ACS Infectious Diseases, 2021We now describe the physicochemical profiling, in vitro ADME, and antiparasitic activity of eight N,N'-diarylureas to assess their potential as a broad-spectrum antiprotozoal chemotype. Chromatographic LogD7.4 values ranged from 2.5 to 4.5; kinetic aq. solubilities were ≤6.3 μg/mL, and plasma protein binding ranged from 95 to 99%.

New chemotypes for cathepsin K inhibitors
Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2008Cyano pyrimidine acetylene and cyano pyrimidine t-amine, which belong to a new chemical class, were prepared and tested for inhibitory activities against cathepsin K and the highly homologous cathepsins L and S. The use of novel chemotypes in the development of cathepsin K inhibitors has been demonstrated by derivatives of compounds 1 and 8.
