Genome surveillance across a swine‐associated One Health continuum in China shows that slaughterhouses act as major enrichment nodes for tet(X4)‐mediated tigecycline resistance, driven by putative clonal transmission and stable plasmid backbones. Integrating global datasets enables lineage‐specific risk stratification, highlighting key control points ...

Grain Size Sorting and Steady Bars Formation in Straight Channels—Part 2: Linear Theory
Abstract This is the second of two papers aimed to investigate grain sorting patterns associated with the formation of steady alternate bars in gravel‐bed rivers. Part 1 presented the analysis of a series of tailored experiments, performed in a mobile bed laboratory flume with fixed, straight banks. The results showed that a consistent pattern of grain

Update of the risk assessment on dioxins and dioxin‐like PCBs in feed and food
Abstract The European Commission asked EFSA to update its 2018 risk assessment on polychlorinated dibenzo‐p‐dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) and dioxin‐like polychlorinated biphenyls (DL‐PCBs) in feed and food, based on the 2022 WHO Toxic Equivalency Factors (WHO2022‐TEFs).

Scientific Opinion on the safety and efficacy of Coxiril® (diclazuril) as a feed additive for chickens for fattening [PDF]
Coxiril®, containing 0.5 % diclazuril, is intended for use in the control of coccidiosis in chickens for fattening at a dose range of 0.8 to 1.2 mg diclazuril/kg complete feed. The highest proposed use level (1.2 mg diclazuril/kg feed) is considered safe

Avatec® 150G is an anticoccidial feed additive containing 15% of the active ingredient lasalocid A sodium, an ionophore anticoccidial. The tolerance study indicated that oral administration of lasalocid A sodium via feed at doses at and above the targeted lasalocid dose of 125 mg/kg was not tolerated in chickens for fattening.

The authors complement bovine pan‐SV with massive novel structural variations (SVs) identified through long‐read sequencing of 83 globally distributed cattle breeds. Repetitive sequence‐mediated SVs (rep‐SV) exhibit distinct dynamic patterns throughout cattle sub‐speciation and/or domestication processes, including uneven distribution between chr‐X and
