A 10-year-old black girl exhibited a bilateral lower motor neuron facial palsy and bilateral hearing loss. Gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the brain showed enhancement of the cranial nerve VII-VIII complex bilaterally. Disc elevation developed in both eyes, and the patient exhibited facial swelling.
