Application of a Chimeric Green Fluorescent Protein to Study Protein-Protein Interactions
The green fluorescent protein (GFP) of the jellyfish Aequorea victoria is an emerging tool to monitor gene expression in situ and in vivo. Because of its fluorescence properties, when GFP is fused in-frame to a specific protein of interest, various aspects of the behavior of this protein can be analyzed noninvasively.

An autologous whole‐tumor‐cell vaccine (rWTC‐MBTA) is evaluated in murine CNS lymphoma. Subcutaneous vaccination activates dendritic cells, broadens T‐cell priming, and drives lymphocyte trafficking to brain tumors, producing durable tumor control. Longitudinal bioluminescence and adoptive‐transfer assays verify CNS engagement. Combination with anti‐PD‐

Altering Enzymatic Activity: Recruitment of Carboxypeptidase Activity into an RTEM β-Lactamase/Penicillin-Binding Protein 5 Chimera [PDF]
The D-Ala-D-Ala carboxypeptidases/transpeptidases (penicillin-binding proteins, PBPs) share considerable structural homology with class A β-lactamases (EC 3.5.2.6), although these β-lactamases have no observable D-Ala-D-Ala carboxypeptidase activity ...

Phospholipid transfer protein(PLTP) plays a critical role in forming a complex with kinase A (AURKA) and P65. This interaction facilitates phosphorylation of P65 at Ser536, leading to the activation of the NF‐κB signaling pathway. Ultimately, this leads to the upregulation of downstream cytokines, including IL‐6, IL‐8, and CSF‐1, which promotes M2 ...

Chimeric ZHHH neuroglobin acts as a cell membrane‐penetrating inducer of neurite outgrowth
Neuroglobin (Ngb) is a heme protein expressed in the vertebrate brain. We previously engineered a chimeric Ngb protein, in which module M1 of human Ngb is replaced by that of zebrafish Ngb, and showed that the chimeric ZHHH Ngb has a cell membrane ...

ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Background and purpose: The mature form of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) binds to BDNF/NT-3 growth factors receptor (Trk-B). This binding leads to activation of Ras–MAPK pathway which is integrated with cell growth and proliferation.
