Paraquat-resistant cell lines derived from chinese hamster ovary cells
Cell Biology International Reports, 1990Two paraquat-resistant clones, PR-1 and PR-2, were selected from CHO K1 cells pretreated with ethyl methanesulfonate. PR-1 and PR-2, routinely cultured in a normal medium without paraquat, were six fold more resistant to paraquat than the parental CHO K1 cells.

Regulation of hamster α1B-adrenoceptors expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells
European Journal of Pharmacology, 1996Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells were stably transfected to express the hamster alpha 1B-adrenoeceptor, and the function and agonist-induced regulation of the binding properties of these receptors were characterized. The cells expressed approximately 230,000 receptors per cell, with a KD for [3H]prazosin of 140 pM.
