Integrated Field‐Free SOT Domain‐Wall Synapses and MTJ Stochastic Neurons for Hardware Boltzmann Machines

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Field‐free spin‐orbit torque domain‐wall synapses integrated with stochastic MTJ neurons enable compact hardware Boltzmann machines. Leveraging intrinsic stochasticity and multi‐level conductance, the system achieves efficient probabilistic learning with high accuracy, demonstrating a scalable spintronic platform for energy‐efficient edge AI.

Optical properties of planar chiral meta-materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The polarization state of visible light is found to be altered upon reflection from artificial two-dimensional chiral media. Arrays of metallic planar chiral structures were fabricated by electron beam lithography and ion beam milling. The characteristic

Chiral pyridyl phosphinite catalysts and the development of structure selectivity relationships in the asymmetric hydrogenation of trisubstituted alkenes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The current trend in developing asymmetric catalysts is towards creating specialized molecules with tailored functions for increased selectivity in classes of substrates rather than general catalysts capable of broad application.

Stereoselective synthesis of perillaldehyde-based chiral β-amino acid derivatives through conjugate addition of lithium amides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2014
The Michael addition of dibenzylamine to (+)-tert-butyl perillate (3) and to (+)-tert-butyl phellandrate (6), derived from (S)-(−)-perillaldehyde (1), resulted in diastereomeric β-amino esters 7A–D in a moderately stereospecific reaction in a ratio of 76:

Radiation-Induced Effect on Spin-Selective Electron Transfer through Self-Assembled Monolayers of ds-DNA

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2021
Stability of the DNA molecule is essential for the proper functioning and sustainability of all living organisms. In this study, we investigate the effect of gamma radiation (γ-radiation) on spin-selective electron transfer through double strand (ds)DNA ...

Template‐Confined Synthesis of Shape‐Engineered Single‐Crystal Gold Microplates in Lithographically‐Defined Polymeric Patterns

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐crystal gold microplates are high‐performance nanomaterials with an impressive wafer‐based application space. Progress has, however, been tempered by an inability to exert synthetic control over microplate size, shape, and positioning. In this work, control over these parameters is demonstrated using a seed‐mediated synthesis that both confines ...

Multicritical matrix models and the chiral phase transition

open access: yes, 1998
Universality of multicritical unitary matrix models is shown and a new scaling behavior is found in the microscopic region of the spectrum, which may be relevant for the low energy spectrum of the Dirac operator at the chiral phase ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Phosphated cyclodextrins as water-soluble chiral NMR solvating agents for cationic compounds

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2017
The utility of phosphated α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrins as water-soluble chiral NMR solvating agents for cationic substrates is described. Two sets of phosphated cyclodextrins, one with degrees of substitution in the 2–6 range, the other with degrees of ...
