CHIRAL STATIONARY PHASES USED FOR ENANTIOMERIC RESOLUTION

open access: yesMiddle East Journal of Science, 2015
Enantiomer separation has attracted increasing attentions in pharmaceutical industry, due to great differences in pharmacological, toxicological and/or metabolic activities of enantiomeric drugs in living system. Several methods have been succesfully used to achieve chiral separation.

High performance liquid chromatographic separation of thirteen drugs collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010(Ch.P2010) on cellulose ramification chiral stationary phase

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, 2012
The enantiomers separation of thirteen drugs collected in Ch.P2010 was performed on chiral stationary phase of cellulose ramification (chiralpak OD and chiralpak OJ) by high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) methods, which included ibuprofen (C1),

The Separation of Cannabinoids on Sub-2 µm Immobilized Polysaccharide Chiral Stationary Phases

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2021
The increased use and applicability of Cannabis and Cannabis-derived products has skyrocketed over the last 5 years. With more and more governing bodies moving toward medical and recreational legalization, the need for robust and reliable analytical ...

Consistent histories for tunneling molecules subject to collisional decoherence

open access: yes, 2012
The decoherence of a two-state tunneling molecule, such as a chiral molecule or ammonia, due to collisions with a buffer gas is analyzed in terms of a succession of quantum states of the molecule satisfying the conditions for a consistent family of ...

Curvature and topological effects on dynamical symmetry breaking in a four- and eight-fermion interaction model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A dynamical mechanism for symmetry breaking is investigated under the circumstances with the finite curvature, finite size and non-trivial topology. A four- and eight-fermion interaction model is considered as a prototype model which induces symmetry ...

Absence of Landau-Peierls Instability in the Magnetic Dual Chiral Density Wave Phase of Dense QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We investigate the stability of the Magnetic Dual Chiral Density Wave (MDCDW) phase of cold and dense QCD against collective low-energy fluctuations of the order parameter.

Aldol Reactions of Axially Chiral 5-Methyl-2-(o-aryl)imino-3-(o-aryl)-thiazolidine-4-ones

open access: yesMolecules, 2016
Axially chiral 5-methyl-2-(o-aryl)imino-3-(o-aryl)-thiazolidine-4-ones have been subjected to aldol reactions with benzaldehyde to produce secondary carbinols which have been found to be separable by HPLC on a chiral stationary phase.

A novel chiral monolithic nano-column with 50 µm i.d. for the enantioseparation of chiral drugs by nano-liquid chromatography

open access: yesGreen Analytical Chemistry
A novel chiral monolithic nano-column was developed for the enantioseparation of chiral drugs by nano-liquid chromatography (nano-LC). The monolithic capillary with 50 µm i.d. was first prepared by an in-situ polymerization using butyl methacrylate (BuMA)

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Study of chiral symmetry restoration in linear and nonlinear O(N) models using the auxiliary field method

open access: yes, 2012
We consider the O(N) linear {\sigma} model and introduce an auxiliary field to eliminate the scalar self-interaction. Using a suitable limiting process this model can be continuously transformed into the nonlinear version of the O(N) model.
