A stereoselective functionalization method of cyclic imines under mild organocatalytic conditions was developed. Bifunctional cinchona alkaloid catalysts combined with carefully optimized reaction conditions to suppress background reactivity enabled highly enantio‐ and diastereoselective addition reactions of malonates to cyclic imines.

Homochiral bifacial indacenodithiophene (IDT)‐based hole‐transport materials form amorphous spin‐coated films showing pronounced chirality‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) with spin polarization ≈ 60%, and reveal a robust chirality–spin‐polarity correspondence.

Guided by DFT calculations, the design of novel C1‐symmetric salan ligands without the involvement of Suzuki coupling was achieved, and the preparation of α‐hydroxy‐β‐ketoesters in 99% yield and 99% ee was realized under low catalyst loading. Abstract In this work, a structurally simple, inexpensive, and readily accessible Zr–salan catalytic system was

The role of absorption in 3D electron diffraction dynamical structure refinement
This work establishes the role of absorption in 3D electron diffraction dynamical refinement, where its inclusion is shown to significantly affect refinement outcomes only in high‐Z materials at thicknesses approaching ξg.The role of absorption in 3D electron diffraction is established through analytical theory, simulation and dynamical refinement.

Abstract This mini‐review examines odd‐carbon polyunsaturated fatty acids (odd‐PUFAs), a rare but biologically significant group of fatty acids in photosynthetic microorganisms. Odd‐PUFAs are straight‐chain fatty acids containing an odd number of carbon atoms and two or more methylene‐interrupted double bonds. They typically account for less than 1% of
