New 3-D Fluorescence Spectral Indices for Multiple Pigment Inversions of Plant Leaves via 3-D Fluorescence Spectra

open access: yesRemote Sensing
High-sensitivity fluorescence monitoring has been widely used in agriculture and environmental science. However, the active fluorescence detection information of leaf segments mainly focuses on total chlorophyll, and the fluorescence information of ...

Assessment of senescence of cut flowers in Chrysanthemum morifolium L. as judged from chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics of leaves on the same shoot

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2005
Chlorophyll fluorescence parameters were measured by pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM) fluoremetry on the leaves of Chrysanthemum morifolium L. cut flowering shoots.

The interactive effects of drought and heat stress on photosynthetic efficiency and biochemical defense mechanisms of Amaranthus species

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions, 2022
Drought and heat stress are major abiotic stress factors that limit photosynthesis and other related metabolic processes that hamper plant growth and productivity.

A model of chlorophyll a destruction by Calanus spp. and implications for the estimation of ingestion rates using the gut fluorescence method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Chlorophyll a (chl a) destruction by groups of Calanus spp. with different long-term in situ feeding histories was compared. For copepods that had fed during both pre- and early-bloom conditions, degrees of chl a destruction were relatively constant at ...

A Global, 0.05-Degree Product of Solar-Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence Derived from OCO-2, MODIS, and Reanalysis Data

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
Solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) brings major advancements in measuring terrestrial photosynthesis. Several recent studies have evaluated the potential of SIF retrievals from the Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) in estimating gross ...

Chitosan‐Carbon Dot Composite Materials Form a Leaf Surface Barrier to Mitigate the Enrichment and Invasion of Nanoplastics: From Leaf Interface to Systemic Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

SHADE TOLERANCE OF MARIGOLD PLANTS (Calendula officinalis)

open access: yesRevista U.D.C.A Actualidad & Divulgación Científica, 2015
Pot marigold (Calendula officinalis L.) is the second most commonly-sold medicinal herb in Colombia. The study was performed in Tunja, Colombia, in which chlorophyll and carotenoid content were evaluated in pot marigold grown under low and high light ...

Seasonal biases in fluorescence-estimated chlorophyll-a derived from biogeochemical profiling floats

open access: yesCommunications Earth & Environment
Marine phytoplankton biomass and chlorophyll-a concentration are often estimated from pigment fluorescence measurements, which have become routine despite known variability in the fluorescent response for a given amount of chlorophyll-a. Here, we present

In vivo label-free mapping of the effect of a photosystem II inhibiting herbicide in plants using chlorophyll fluorescence lifetime

open access: yesPlant Methods, 2017
Background In order to better understand and improve the mode of action of agrochemicals, it is useful to be able to visualize their uptake and distribution in vivo, non-invasively and, ideally, in the field.
