Choline transport links macrophage phospholipid metabolism and inflammation
Choline is an essential nutrient that is required for synthesis of the main eukaryote phospholipid, phosphatidylcholine. Macrophages are innate immune cells that survey and respond to danger and damage signals.

This work shows, for the first time, that the stereocilia membrane in cochlear hair cells is dynamically regulated by the mechanotransduction channel to impact the membrane mechanical properties. This work provides direct evidence that the opening and closing associated with the MET channel is regulating the membrane viscosity suggesting that the MET ...

Polystyrene nanoplastics (PS‐NPs) administered via oral exposure accelerate triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) progression by synergistically modulating gut microbiota‐derived glutamate production and platelet activation. This study uncovers a pivotal crosstalk between microbial metabolites and platelet‐tumor interactions, offering mechanistic ...

Genetic and Metabolic Controls for Sulfate Metabolism in \u3cem\u3eNeurospora crassa\u3c/em\u3e: Isolation and Study of Chromate-Resistant and Sulfate Transport-Negative Mutants [PDF]
Mutants of Neurospora resistant to chromate were selected and all were found to map at a single genetic locus designated as cys-13. The chromate-resistant mutants grow at a wild-type rate on minimal media but are partially deficient in the transport of ...

cGAS Inhibits ALDH2 to Suppress Lipid Droplet Function and Regulate MASLD Progression
cGAS is a cytosolic DNA sensor known for innate immune defense. cGAS binds and suppresses ALDH2 are showed, limiting acetyl‐CoA production. cGAS loss activates ALDH2, promoting histone acetylation, lipogenesis, and lipid droplets accumulation. cGas‐/‐ mice on a high‐fat diet show signs of worsened MASLD.

Amphiphilic lignin‐containing nanocellulose (LNC) establishes competitive interactions between MXene nanosheets, enabling precise modulation of interlayer spacing and interfacial chemistry. This strategy allows rapid fabrication of semi‐solid MXene via industrial‐scale spray drying, achieving long‐term reversible redispersibility and exceptional ...
