Cation‐Engineered Gradient Interfacial Structure Toward Dendrite‐Free and Shuttle‐Free Aqueous Zn‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This paper proposes an “EDL‐directed regulator” strategy that constructs hydrophobic‐hydrophilic gradient interfaces to stabilize Zn anode by forming a water‐poor EDL and lowering the desolvation barriers Zn2+. Meanwhile, the ACh+‐containing electrolyte suppresses polyiodide shuttling via electrostatic capture, enhancing the long‐term reversibility and

Edible Pneumatic Battery for Sustained and Repeated Robot Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents an edible energy source and valve system to power soft, pneumatically driven edible robots. A chemical reaction between sodium bicarbonate and citric acid generates carbon dioxide gas, and a pressure‐triggered edible valve enables self‐repetitive motion of the edible actuator.

Methionine formation by transmethylation in vitro [PDF]

open access: yes, 1947
We reported in a previous communication (1) that guanidoacetic acid is methylated to creatine by rat liver slices in the presence of choline and either homocysteine or homocystine.

Synaptic Dysfunction in the Anterior Cingulate Cortex Underlies Pain‐Anxiety Comorbidity in a Mandibular Asymmetry Mouse Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes a mandibular asymmetry (MA) mouse model that recapitulates chronic orofacial pain and anxiety comorbidity. Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) hyperactivation and synaptic dysfunction are identified as central neural mechanisms underlying these pathologies, with chemogenetic inhibition of ACC CaMKII+ neurons effectively reversing ...

Supramolecular Hydrogel Showing Mechanical Robustness and Good Adhesion Underwater

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a supramolecular hydrogel integrating mechanical robustness and underwater adhesion is developed through a high‐density supramolecular cross‐linking strategy. The high‐density crosslinking network of the dynamic hydrogen bonds not only endows the material with good mechanical properties but also enables excellent underwater adhesion ...

Ubc9‐Mediated SUMOylation of RPL3, an Unappreciated Mechanism against Hepatocyte Senescence by Repressing the DHX9‐p16 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liver aging is characterized by a decline in the expression of the SUMO‐conjugating enzyme Ubc9, resulting in reduced SUMOylation levels in hepatocytes, particularly in the case of ribosomal protein RPL3. Disruption of RPL3 SUMOylation increases its nuclear translocation. Interestingly, ribosome‐free RPL3 facilitates the recruitment of helicase DHX9 to
