Modeling of gas sample behavior in gas chromatography column [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
The equilibrium-dispersive model of the linear GC (gas chromatography) was derived using both assumptions and the method of its derivation different from the known in literature. It was concluded that this model is a specific case of the Fokker-Planck equation for diffusion with drift.

Subfractionation of human high density lipoproteins by heparin-Sepharose affinity chromatography.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1980
A reproducible and quantitative subfractionation of human high density lipoproteins (HDL) by heparin-Sepharose affinity chromatography has been developed. Two elution methods (A and B) were used to subfractionate HDL(2) (d 1.063-1.125 g/ml) or total HDL (

Mars Spectrometry 2: Gas Chromatography -- Second place solution [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The Mars Spectrometry 2: Gas Chromatography challenge was sponsored by NASA and run on the DrivenData competition platform in 2022. This report describes the solution which achieved the second-best score on the competition's test dataset. The solution utilized two-dimensional, image-like representations of the competition's chromatography data samples.

Modulating weak protein-protein cross-interactions by addition of free amino acids at millimolar concentrations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In this paper, we quantify weak protein protein interactions in solution using Cross-Interaction Chromatography (CIC) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and demonstrate that they can be modulated by the addition of free amino acids. With CIC, we determined the second osmotic virial cross-interaction coefficient (B23) as a proxy for the interaction ...

Evolution through time of Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids detection and quantification [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids (PAs) are a group of naturally occurring alkaloids that are produced by plants as a defense mechanism against insect herbivores. The analytical methodologies employed for their detection have come a long way since the first analytical experiment and in the last 30 years had an enormous development, both technological and ...
