The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Carbon Dioxide, a Solvent and Synthon for Green Chemistry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Carbon dioxide is a renewable resource of carbon when we consider the reuse of existing CO2 as a carbon source for producing chemicals. The development of new applications is of major interest from the point of view of carbon dioxide sequestration and ...

Differentiation of ring‐substituted regioisomers of cathinone analogs by supercritical fluid chromatography

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, 2020
Various new psychoactive substances, such as cathinone and its analogs, possess similar chemical structures. Accurate identification of structurally similar drugs of abuse is important in forensic drug analysis.

A New Kinetic‐Mechanistic Approach Towards Spectrophotometric Bioanalysis of 2‐Phenylethylamine as a Sympathomimetic Agent Using Sodium Isopropyl Xanthate

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
ABSTRACT 2‐Phenylethylamine (2‐PEA), an aromatic biogenic amine, demonstrates significant physiological and toxicological effects on human health. A variety of conventional methods have been widely used for the determination of 2‐PEA. However, the necessity of complex sample preparation and high cost of instrumentation may pose challenges to their ...

Purification of supercritical-fluid carotenoid-rich extracts by hydrophobic interaction chromatography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) has been widely used for extracting several valuable phytochemicals, including carotenoids. However, there is a scarcity of works dealing with the purification of SFE extracts.

Gas Chromatography‐Based Methods for Profiling Volatile Off‐Aroma Compounds in Grain Legumes: A Review

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Instrumental characterisation of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs), responsible for off‐aroma, is mainly centred on gas chromatography‐based techniques. Despite previous reviews that have addressed the chemical compounds and biosynthetic pathways of off‐aroma generation, to date, there is a lack of a comprehensive review that critically ...

Electrodeposition from supercritical fluids

open access: yes, 2014
Recent studies have shown that it is possible to electrodeposit a range of materials, such as Cu, Ag and Ge, from various supercritical fluids, including hydrofluorocarbons and mixtures of CO2 with suitable co-solvents. In this perspective we discuss the
