Mosunetuzumab Successfully Treated Rituximab‐Refractory Lymphoma‐Associated Protein‐Losing Enteropathy With Concomitant Immune Thrombocytopenia in Follicular Lymphoma: A Case Report

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Protein‐losing enteropathy (PLE) is a rare but potentially severe complication of malignant lymphoma characterized by excessive gastrointestinal loss of plasma proteins, leading to hypoalbuminemia, edema, and serous effusions. We report a case of follicular lymphoma complicated by severe PLE and concomitant immune thrombocytopenia (ITP ...

Modulation of KATP channels by diazoxide preserves mitochondrial function and barrier integrity under staurosporine‐induced epithelial stress

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 12, Page 3213-3233, June 2026.
Background and Purpose Intestinal barrier dysfunction caused by mitochondrial stress, oxidative damage and apoptosis, are hallmarks of dysbiosis‐associated gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. Staurosporine causes downstream features of dysbiosis‐induced epithelial damage.

Association of Fontan Circulation With Gut Microbiome Derived Straight and Branched Short Chain Fatty Acids

open access: yesJournal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Volume 41, Issue 6, Page 1825-1836, June 2026.
Adults with Fontan circulation (n = 20) and matched controls underwent body composition, frailty testing, CPET, and NICaS hemodynamics. Plasma short‐chain fatty acids were quantified by LC–MS/MS. Fontan patients had higher straight and branched SCFAs, correlating with lower muscle mass, greater frailty, reduced VO2max, and worse resting/postexercise ...

Dietary management of normoalbuminaemic canine chronic enteropathies

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 492-503, June 2026.
