Treatments for Molluscum contagiosum: A systematic review

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a viral skin infection that poses significant physical and psychosocial burdens, particularly in pediatric and immunocompromised populations. Despite the availability of various treatment options, comparative efficacy and safety data remain limited.

Quantitative prediction of intravenous drug interactions caused by cytochromes P450 inhibitors and inducers

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 8, Page 2682-2692, August 2026.
Background Aims Pharmacokinetic interaction studies typically focus on oral administration, but intravenous (IV) administration bypasses intestinal degradation and hepatic first‐pass metabolism, leading to distinct drug–drug interaction (DDI) magnitude. This study aimed to develop a predictive model for DDIs involving IV‐administered drugs.

Cimetidine as an Effective Corrosion Inhibitor for Mild Steel in Hydrochloric Acid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2014
The performance of Cimetidine (2-cyano- 1-methyl- 3-(2-[(5-methyl- 1H-imidazol- 4- yl)methylthio]ethyl)guanidine) as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1 M HCl was thoroughly investigated by weight loss and electrochemical methods.

Fluorinated Aminopiperidones as Non‐Glutarimide Thalidomide Analogs: Stereodivergent Synthesis and Validation

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.
Fluorinated aminopiperidones, designed as non‐glutarimide thalidomide analogs, were synthesized with full regio‐ and stereocontrol. The C*–CF3 used as carbonyl surrogate improved solubility and membrane interactions while abolishing cereblon binding.

Development and characterization of a novel TDP‐43 positron emission tomography tracer: [18F]JNJ‐TDP43‐1

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Neurodegenerative disorders, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), limbic‐predominant age‐related TDP‐43 encephalopathy (LATE), and Alzheimer's disease (AD) are associated with TAR DNA‐binding protein 43 (TDP‐43) pathology.

Optimal Weighted Tests for Replication Studies and the ‘Two‐Trials Rule’ With Multiple Hypotheses

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 15-17, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Replication studies for scientific research are an important part of ensuring the reliability and integrity of experimental findings. In the context of clinical trials, the concept of replication has been formalized by the “two‐trials” rule, where two pivotal studies are required to show positive results before a drug can be approved.

Protective assessment of cimetidine against cyclophosphamide-induced kidney injury

open access: yesAsian Journal of Medical Sciences, 2018
Background: Nephrotoxicity is one of the frequent toxicities observed with cyclophosphamide (CP) use which may involve oxidative stress. Cimetidine is an antihistamine with anti-oxidative stress activity.

The Associations Between Acid‐Suppressive Drug Intake and Symptom Profiles in Functional Dyspepsia Patients Referred for Open‐Access Endoscopy

open access: yesUnited European Gastroenterology Journal, Volume 14, Issue 6, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Functional dyspepsia (FD) is characterised by postprandial fullness, early satiation, epigastric pain, or burning without structural abnormalities on upper endoscopy. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are the preferred first‐line therapy.
