Study on Induction and Culture of Callus of Citrus grandis cv. ‘Hongmianmiyou’
AbstractCitrus grandiscv. ‘Hongmianmiyou’ is mutated from ‘Guanximiyou’, which has been widely cultivated in Sichuan Province because of the attractive appearance, rich nutritional ingredients and trace elements. To effectively cultivate more Hongmianmiyou seedlingsfor production, we established the callus tissue induction system.

Garlic polysaccharides (GP) demonstrated potential against functional constipation. In vitro, GP exhibited digestive resistance properties and boosted beneficial Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. In constipated mice, GP alleviated constipation by reducing oxidative stress and repairing the mechanical, chemical, and immune barriers.

Molecular insights into volatile organic compound sensing and signaling in plants
SUMMARY Plants interact with their surrounding environment through the perception of a vast and structurally diverse array of volatile organic compounds (VOCs); however, the molecular mechanisms involved remain mostly unknown. Despite the large number of VOCs emitted and perceived by plants, only a small number of phylogenetically distinct, but often ...
