Comparative Oligo‐FISH Mapping Illuminates Chromosomal Evolution Among Rutaceae Species Diverged Over 50 Million Years

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 41, 22 July 2026.
Oligonucleotide‐based fluorescence in situ hybridization probes were developed in the model citrus species Citrus maxima. These probes were applied to comparative karyotyping across 14 species in the Rutaceae family. This analysis revealed chromosomal evolution in lineages that diverged from Citrus nearly 52 million years ago.

Ameliorative Effects of Newly Developed Citrus Hybrid “Mubong” Peel Extract on Experimental Colitis and Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
DSS exposure induces severe colitis, causing gut dysbiosis and mucosal inflammation driven by NF‐κB activation and spikes in pathogenic bacteria, TNF‐α, and IL‐6. However, “Mubong” Peel Extract effectively disrupts this inflammatory cascade. By suppressing NF‐κB‐dependent transcriptional activity, the extract mitigates clinical symptoms like colon ...
