Acoustical Environments in Open Classrooms

教室と廊下の間が, 壁や窓によって区画されないオープン型の普通教室が増えているが, 従来型の教室に比べ騒音環境の悪化が懸念される。そのため, 全教室がオープン教室である仙台市立の3小学校ならびに従来型普通教室をもつ小・中学校4校において, 教室内の騒音測定と現場の教師に対するアンケート調査を行い, それぞれの騒音環境について比較検討した。その結果, オープン教室の騒音レベルは, 明らかに学校環境衛生の基準値50dB (A) を超えていること, オープン教室内では児童も教師も隣接教室からの騒音に少なからず影響を受けていることが分かった。以上のことから, 学校の新設に際しては, 騒音に対する十分な配慮が必要であり, 既存のオープン教室に対しては, 適切な防音対策が望まれる。
